Saint Magdalene of Nagasaki. A great example of strength and courage. Living during a time of the brutal repression of Christianity in Japan, Saint Magdalene refused to give up her beliefs. The Saint was tortured for 13 days, and then hung upside down in a pit of garbage until death.
